Gochujang Chicken

Gochujang Chicken

I felt like mixing things up and adding a bit of spice and Korean flavor to my chicken bowls. This one isn’t really the best for kids because of the spice but if you like spicy food, it’s a good recipe with solid macros. As with the case with my recipes, it’s an easy one to make to.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pat chicken dry and trim excess fat
  2. Mix gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and water in a bowl. Because of the honey, this marinade can be pretty thick so just do your best in mixing it well
  3. Add the chicken and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes but ideally you want to do this overnight in the fridge.
  4. Cook the mixture in a large pan and pour over 1/2 cup of rice per serving. I added green onions because I’m fancy like that.

If you don’t mind the waiting time, this one is pretty easy to make. Solid proteins and you can replace the thighs with breast too for more proteins per calories.
