This is kind of a nice change of scenery. High in protein and there are definitely things you can do to tweak the macros but it’s pretty good as it is. Best thing is that you can make it in one pan (I used a wok), so less cleanup afterwards. It’s also super fast to make. The longest part for me was dicing the onions and garlic.
Ingredients
Directions
- Throw the ground beef in a large pan and brown it
- Break up the ground beef and add garlic, onions, and your preferred seasoning to it. I went with Kinder’s The Blend.
- After the beef is no longer red, add the orzo, beef bone broth, and heavy cream
- Let it cook on medium/low until the orzo is soft. Should take 5-10 mins but can take longer. Just make sure it’s cooked.
- When the orzo is done, add the spinach. It will cook fast.
- Turn off heat, add the shredded cheese and mix.

Obviously the heavy cream adds some calories so you can substitute that with greek yogurt or something, or remove it entirely. It’s only about 25 calories per serving though so not a huge deal. And you can use fat-free cheese instead of low-fat but fat free is just really dry for my taste.
