High Protein Pizza

High Protein Pizza

Admittedly this isn’t the most macro friendly meal you can make, but it tastes pretty good and still gives you a decent amount of protein. I think there is a way to make pizza crust using ground chicken which I’ll need to try at some point, but in the meantime, it’s not the worst thing in the world to enjoy food that you like.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Combine the flour, Greek yogurt, baking powder and salt and mix by hand. This will get messy but try to get a uniform consistency and mix this into a ball and let it rest for 10 minutes
  2. Heat up your oven to 475-500 degrees F. If you have a pizza stone, put that in there too and give that 30 minutes to heat up.
  3. Divide the dough into 2 equal pieces (assuming this is for 8 servings above)
  4. On your counter or large cutting board, sprinkle some flour on here and lay one of the dough balls on top. You can also put it on top of parchment paper. Also put some flour on your hands to avoid the dough sticking to your hands and spread this roll out to be as thin as you can.
  5. Put the crusts on parchment paper and onto the pizza stone for 5-7 minutes. If it doesn’t all fit in at once, just do one at a time.
  6. Take out the crust and divide your sauce and toppings evenly and spread thin.
  7. Put back into the oven for 10 more minutes

Again doesn’t hit that 10-to-1 calorie to protein golden ratio that we like, but this isn’t bad and you definitely shouldn’t feel guilty eating this.
